Your Guide
Michelle grew up playing and exploring in the sagebrush / shrub-steppe lands of Eastern Washington. Through those early experiences with nature Michelle developed a strong connection with the more-than-human beings through the practice of building a relationship of learning, compassion,
understanding, and curiosity.
Michelle has lived and worked in nearly every region of the United States, serving youth, families, schools, and the public as a teacher, naturalist, educator, instructor, facilitator, and guide. She is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and Wilderness First Responder, and offers forest bathing walks, outdoor adventure camps and programs for youth, and nature immersion experiences for individuals, families, organizations, and groups in Eastern Washington.

Forest Bathing, also known as "Shinrin-Yoku" is a practice of spending time in nature and bathing in the atmosphere of the trees and plants, while also enhancing personal wellness, stress reduction, and connection. The practice is a slow, sensory walk with a series of invitations that result in healing interactions.
